UX/UI design isn’t for everyone
But it might be for you…

icon 55 - Design Alive

Designer at Heart

Gorgeous, sleek design makes you happy. You instinctively know what colors to use and where things should go to make things look beautiful.

icon 56 - Design Alive

Natural Problem Solver

You look at things and think, “there must be another way” or “how can I make that easier, faster, or better?” Because nothing’s worse than things that are overcomplicated.

icon 57 - Design Alive

Detail-Oriented Perfectionist

You care about the little things — the spacing, the effects, the way a layout shifts on mobile. You notice what others miss, and it bugs you when something is just slightly off.

UX/UI might be your happy place →

UX/UI brought together everything I loved – tech, psychology, trends, and research.
It was like designing, but with purpose.

The teachers were fantastic. I loved sharing my homework and getting feedback on it. I especially loved the final project; it had less structure, so it was exciting to create my own plan and execute it.
I gained lots of skills along the way: creating gorgeous designs, really listening and understanding people, trying to make things better, problem solving… I’m excited to use them!

Good UX/UI means people can
get stuff done quickly and easily

What’s

What’s UX?

User Experience is how an app or website works and functions: how smooth and intuitive it is for users to accomplish their goals.

What’s

What’s
UI?

User Interface is how an app or website looks and feels: the colors, buttons, and fonts that make it beautiful and easy to navigate.

Frustrating apps or confusing websites make businesses lose customers, and $$$ – FAST.

You’re not just another designer. You’ll be the brains behind their software
Every results-driven business needs great UX/UI design.
Which niche talks to you?

→ Tech Companies

Their apps and platforms
are the product.

Bad UX/UI = lost users

browser mockup - Design Alive

→ E-Commerce & Retail Brands

UX affects how easily people browse,
buy, and check out.

Bad UX/UI = less sales

browser mockup 1 - Design Alive

→ Service-Based Businesses

Booking, form-filling, or finding info, a smooth experience means they don’t lose people.

Bad UX/UI = customers go elsewhere

browser mockup 2 - Design Alive

→ Non-Profits

Donating has to be easy.
If it’s too complicated, people will leave.

Bad UX/UI  = less donations

browser mockup 3 - Design Alive

→ Education Platforms

Online learning is all about experience -
bad UX/UI means students can’t follow along.

Bad UX/UI  = more dropouts

browser mockup 4 - Design Alive

→ Any App

Apps live or die by usability.
A clunky app doesn’t get opened again.

Bad UX/UI = a failed app

A career in UX/UI means

Opportunity

In today’s digital world, skilled UX/UI designers are in demand. (Not just any UX/UI designers though. Good ones.)

Flexibility

Work full-time, freelance, or remote – whatever suits your life best.

High-Value Contracts

Take on larger, long-term projects that bring in steady income – without constantly scrambling for smaller
jobs.

Real Fulfilment

Use your creativity, problem-solving,
and psychology
skills to make everyday experiences
simpler
and better.

→ In other words: it means sitting down at your computer every day excited to dive into that long-term project you’re working on.
→ It means engaging the creative and logical parts of your brain (so you feel totally stimulated!) in a job that’s profitable and flexible.

It’s not wishful thinking.

It could be your life in just one year from now!

Group 1727 - Design Alive

I chose the UX/UI course because it’s more all-encompassing than other design programs. I enjoy the research and different stages – it covers the whole design process, not just one aspect.
The course offered lots of support, and the classes were easy to follow. Both teachers were clear, engaging, and quick to respond. Everything was covered, no important skills were left out.
The homework projects threw me into the deep end… but that’s how I gained real experience and created work I was proud of!
I just finished, and I can already see myself making back my investment pretty quickly.
